Silent Hospital Ep

  1. Silent Hospital - 10:15.497
  2. Carousel - 8:00.406

The two tracks on the release draw on disparate sources for their inspiration, though both are concerned with voyaging beyond the physical realm. "Silent Hospital" is a disquieting descent into the experience of intraoperative awareness. A surgical state of partial lucidity while anesthetized where sounds and events (both real and hallucinatory) meld into an unnerving trip. "Carousel" draws it's inspiration from the ritual of the same name from the film Logan's Run. A vertiginous circular ascent on Lastday toward the promise of Renewal (rebirth).

"Silent Hospital" is the fifth work released in conjunction with the netlabel Webbed Hand Records. For more information on the release, and to get information on the many other excellent releases on the label, please visit the site.

Axis Mundi Ep

  1. Axis Mundi - 6:54.522
  2. Strange Loop - 7:29.651

The title track, "Axis Mundi", revolves literally around the idea of its namesake. The sound of a Jacobs Ladder creates the core central rhythm which is yet another incarnation of the theme. An attempt at representing both ascending, and descending, movement around the cosmic axis. The second track, "Strange Loop", is patterned after the ideas set forth in the book Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid around the concept of a Strange Loop. Specifically in relation to recursion, the fugue compositional technique, and Johann Sebastian Bach.

"Axis Mundi" is the fourth work released in conjunction with the netlabel Webbed Hand Records. For more information on the release, and to get information on the many other excellent releases on the label, please visit the site.

Musica Universalis Ep

  1. Musica Universalis - 7:21.236
  2. Dance of the Daemon Sultan - 9:26.558

"Musica Universalis" is two works of otherworldly Musique Concrete. The title track is based on the concept of Music of the Spheres and is composed primarily of sounds generated by astronomical objects. The "maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes" of the final track echoes the Lovecraftian mythos of the blind idiot god Azathoth and his mad dance at the center of the universe.

"Musica Universalis" is the third work released in conjunction with the netlabel Webbed Hand Records. For more information on the release, and to get information on the many other excellent releases on the label, please visit the site.

Tales of Adventure Ep

  1. Nautilus - 8:59.947
  2. Deadeye - 5:52.692

"Tales of Adventure" is comprised of two tracks, each its own unique tableau. Track one finds its inspiration in the voyages of Captain Nemo and his vessel the Nautilus as told by Jules Verne. The second track comes from the distinctive visions of the Wild West as seen through the lens of the Spaghetti Western. Both pieces hold true to the tradition of Musique Concrete and are assembled from entirely acoustic source material.

Transmutation Ep

  1. Transmutation - 9:30.444
  2. E.V.P. - 12:44.470

The pieces on this release are constructed from source material culled from entirely acoustic sources. Track one deals with the Alchemical process, the stages of The Great Work represented in audio form. Track two is based on sounds collected via Electronic Voice Phenomena. An attempt at evoking that numinous realm.

The debut release, "Transmutation" is a joint venture between Sonance and the wonderful netlabel Webbed Hand Records. Please peruse their fine releases of sonic beauty.
